Goddess of War by adalheidis Goddess of War by adalheidis

the slavic goddess of war.
She may also have another aspect, that i didn't take into account:…
Only when i was half done with the drawing i read that there probably was no such goddess, and that Gwiazda Poranna / Zorza (Morning Star, was the goddess of war, to which the warriors would pray.
Well, I have a different concept for Morning Star, so this stays as Łada.
And please, remember that slavic pantheon… is very complicated, probably each community, if not each Slav, had their own concept of supernatural things. It has been like this for ages and doesn't look like it's going to change :)
I'm sorry, even the full view doesn't allow to see all the details, like the lower belt plates -.-
Most of the patterns used were inspired by the findings from slavic and preslavic graves.

0,13 and 0,25 technical pen on a3 paper, two days :ahoy:

available on etsy as digital file, print and - the original!…

No, chyba wystarczy tego pseudonaukowego bełkotu :P

Rysunek jest świetny. Podziwiam dokładność detali stroju, a i sama koncepcja przednia. :)

Nice work.
Lada isn't goddess of war! She's goddess of love and family!!!:furious:

thanks, and as i pointed out in the description - it's rather hard to tell with Slavic pantheon :)
She was drawn as Łada, and I decided to keep the name, but I know - and said so - that she wasn't actually the war goddess :) Somewhere it even said, Łada was a male god :D

cheers! :ahoy:
